About Me
I hope you enjoy the year and find a greater appreciation for how the world around you works.
I earned my B.S. in Geology and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Education, both from the University of Texas. After working for a few years as a geologist, focusing mainly on groundwater, I chose to follow my passion and begin a teaching career. I started at WHS in 1993, teaching physical science, geology, and chemistry. After my 2nd child, I took a 6 year hiatus in order to stay home with my kids. I am now in my 20th year here and there is no place that I would rather be! Both of my daughters have graduated from Westlake. My oldest is starting her graduate degree at St. Louis University and my youngest is a sophomore at UT Austin.
I look forward to a great year!
